About Kathy

When Life Feels Like Too Much

There are times when life can feel difficult to manage, even when you are doing everything you can to keep moving forward. You may be experiencing anxiety, burnout, depression, workplace stress, relationship challenges, or uncertainty about what comes next. Maybe you have reached a point where you know something needs to change, but you are not quite sure where to begin.

You may also find yourself repeating patterns that no longer serve you, struggling to balance the expectations placed on you, or feeling disconnected from the version of yourself you want to be.

Therapy can be a place to slow down and better understand what is happening beneath the surface. Together, we can explore the experiences, circumstances, and patterns that have contributed to where you are today while identifying practical ways to move forward.

You do not need to have everything figured out to take the first step.

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are

Understanding Yourself in a New Way

Therapy can give you the opportunity to pause, make sense of your experiences, and better understand the patterns affecting your life.

I take a collaborative, client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to your individual needs, goals, strengths, and circumstances. Whether you are navigating anxiety, ADHD, work stress, depression or mood concerns, identity concerns, self-esteem challenges, burn out or chronic stress, cultural adjustment, life transitions, or relationship challenges, we can work together to better understand what is keeping you stuck and identify meaningful ways to move forward.

Building Skills for Real Life

Insight can be an important part of therapy and understanding yourself is only one piece of the process. I also believe in helping you develop practical tools that you carry with you outside of our sessions.

My approach incorporates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care. I tailor these approaches to your unique needs and goals, creating a therapeutic experience that feels supportive, practical, and meaningful.

As a bilingual Spanish-speaking provider, I am also able to offer therapy in both English and Spanish.

Together, we will focus on changes that feel meaningful and sustainable for you. Therapy is not about becoming a completely different person—it is about better understanding yourself and creating space to move toward the life you want.

Here’s Why I Became A Therapist…

I have always been interested in understanding people—their experiences, the challenges they face, and the ways they make sense of the world around them.

Over time, I came to recognize how meaningful it can be to have a space where you feel genuinely heard. Life can be complicated, and many of us spend so much time meeting expectations, caring for others, or trying to push through difficult situations that we do not always have the opportunity to pause and consider what we need.

I have my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and a Puerto Rican clinician, I also recognize the important role that culture, language, family, identity, and lived experience can play in our mental and emotional well-being. These parts of who we are can shape how we experience challenges and how we understand healing and change.

I strive to create a space where you can bring your whole self into therapy and feel respected for the experiences that have shaped you.

My hope is that our work together helps you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and feel more equipped to navigate whatever life brings next.
