About Alexa

I want you to feel less alone in the darkness and pain.

Everything that is happening to you is overwhelming… and nothing helps. The hopelessness and the feeling that the pain will never go away no matter what you do haunts you

You just can’t do it anymore.

I know the struggle – the ins and outs of trauma, arguments in relationships, and the pain of compulsive patterns. We know how to help you find the way out of the darkness.

Let me help guide you out of the struggle and loneliness. Allow me to support you through these hard times.

This Is Your Time to Be Heard, Seen, and Understood

Please come to therapy exactly as you are—happy, sad, angry, overwhelmed, or anything in between. You are allowed to be human and to feel whatever you are feeling. This is your space to share your story, be yourself, and feel genuinely heard. I will meet you where you are.

Together, we can work through feelings of struggle, loneliness, stress, and anxiety. I will listen, validate your experiences, and help you identify practical ways to move forward. You don’t have to navigate difficult times alone.

My approach incorporates EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic work, and talk therapy. Depending on your needs and goals, we can use these approaches to process difficult experiences, better understand your thoughts and emotions, and develop practical tools you can use outside of sessions.

When we’re together, this is your time to set down some of what you’ve been carrying. My goal is to help you feel more settled within yourself—less anxious, happier, and more at peace in your everyday life.

You will find that I am warm and inviting…

I often hear, “I feel so comfortable opening up to you. You are really easy to talk to.”

I think it’s because I believe we are all just human–unique individuals, each special in our own way. I see you as the wonderful, irreplaceable person that you are. There’s nothing you can say that will shock me. I want you to know that what you are feeling and thinking is normal- and I can assure you of that in session.

I create a space for you to be safe- for you to show up as you are. I truly care about my clients and their well-being. I get excited with you when good things happen to you, and I feel your grief with you when you are sad. I’m here in your corner to truly listen and be with you with all of my heart.

Heres why I became a therapist…

I’ve always loved listening to people and seeing them for who they are. So, it’s natural that I chose a career where I could help people feel heard and overcome their mental and emotional pain. Actually, in my college social life, I would find myself listening to people and helping them find solutions to their problems. I didn’t realize I could do this as a career! Once I realized I could be a therapist, I gave up my career in accounting and began my education.

Some formal information about my career…

I’m a Doctor in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I am also a proud AAMFT Clinical Fellow. The best part about my job is that I get to listen to and be with people at the hardest point in their lives. It’s the biggest gift I’ve received –  to be with people at their most challenging state and help them through it. It’s magic for me.

It’s time to take the first step on your healing journey…

It would be my honor to guide and walk you through your pain.
